2012 Boston Vegetarian Food Festival Volunteer Signup

The Festival is organized and staffed entirely by volunteers who donate their labor, time, and talents to bring this event to life.  Our Organizing Committee is active year-round, and come Festival weekend, we rely on YOU, our greatly appreciated volunteers, to make the event happen!

Volunteers are scheduled in two-hour shifts, and you can work as many shifts as you like, whether it’s two hours, a half day, or the weekend!   There are varied tasks, such as handing out programs, staffing the welcome and email list signup table, helping out at the BVS book table or the BVS info table, assisting our chefs with their cooking demos, assisting exhibitors with unloading, or helping with our huge recycling and composting efforts.  There is also setup on Friday night, and pack up after closing on Sunday.

If you are a recycling enthusiast, please let us know!  If you are great working with food and cooking, let us know that.  If you have experience working with book sales, tell us.  If you are great with children, let us know if you can help in the Kids' Activity Room. If you'd like to contribute your hours before the show begins, offer to help exhibitors unload on Saturday morning!

Please click on the appropriate link below to indicate your preference for Friday night set-up (6 – 10 p.m.), or Saturday or Sunday.  If you can volunteer more than one time, send an email for each day.  It helps us to organize!  Send us your name, phone number, and any special interests, as noted above.

The scheduling of volunteers is done in the couple of weeks before the Festival, so you can wait until you know your availability to sign up.
